Hello! My name is Liezl. I'm from New York City and now living in Tokyo
with my husband and two children. Before coming to Japan, I worked as an
Executive Assistant to the CEO of a video games company. My seven years
there gave me many opportunities to communicate with people from all over
the world, which was one of the most interesting aspects of the job.
It is a pleasure to teach English writing and to be part of the Liberty
Writing Lab team because I can help others express their feelings and ideas
in English. I enjoy reading the various styles of writing and seeing the
improvement after each assignment. I hope I can help you reach your English
writing goals. |

| Hello there. My name' is Natalie and I am originally from Toronto, Canada
but I have been living in Japan for the past sixteen years. In Canada,
I worked as a business lawyer. So when I first came to Japan, I taught
business English courses for a Swiss bank and then for an American securities
company. I am now running an English school which keeps me quite busy.
I love the Internet so in my free time, I like to search the Net with my
children. I love working at Liberty Lab because I can help people achieve
their goals. I try to make my explanations clear and easy to understand.
I think the most challenging part of English is using articles 'a' and
'the'. It is wonderful to see how a person's writing skills improve after
taking a course at Liberty Lab. I am looking forward to reading your essays
and helping you to develop better writing skills. |

Hi! My name is Shannon. I'm originally from New Orleans, Louisiana in America.
I say originally because I have lived in many cities in America because
of my father's job.
I first came to Japan in 1998 to work at a high school in Setagaya, Tokyo. I currently live in Kanagawa and work at university. I am married and have a two-year old son who is very energetic and cute. I like being with him and going places together. I like working for Liberty Lab because it's wonderful to be able to read so many interesting essays. It's especially wonderful to see how students learn from their corrections and are able to improve their writing. I think one of the main weak points is that a lot of students need to write more concisely. Sometimes when writing long sentences the meaning becomes unclear and the sentence awkward. I hope to help students write clear, concise essays that express their thoughts. Bye for now. Hope to read some of your essays soon. |

| My name is Jessica. I am an American living in Hyogo Prefecture with my husband and two small sons. I grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but have also lived in Florida and California. My hobbies are reading, writing, and hiking. I have been working at Liberty Labs since 2004. In that time, I have enjoyed watching my students' English improve. In particular, I have been happy to see my students learn to organize their essays more logically, and to use vivid examples to support their arguments. Never be discouraged by your mistakes. Learn from them instead. I'm looking forward to reading your future essays. |

Hi, I'm Sarah. I'm from Britain, but I've been living in Shikoku for about 4 years now.
What do I like about working for Liberty Lab? Well, no two essays are the same and students have so many ideas that I hadn't thought of. More importantly, people really do improve. It's rare to have to make the same corrections twice. I hope I'll be reading your essay soon!

Hi! everyone. My name is Rachel, I'm from New Zealand. I came to
Japan 12 years ago to teach English in a little village in rural Kyushu.
I met my husband a few years later, and stayed on in Japan and now we have
three beautiful daughters. I like swimming and cooking and especially reading.
I have a library of around 1000 books! I love watching movies, playing
board games and going to onsens with my daughers.
I like teaching advanced adults, because I love the mechanics of language.
That's why I enjoy reading your essays and helping you to improve your
writing. I aim to help you with insights not just into the facts and rules
of English and why one word works where another does not, and how to construct
a good argument. I look forward to working with you!

Hi! My name is Rebekah. I'm from Vancouver, Canada. I
studied English Literature at the University of Victoria, and then came
to Japan to teach English. I wasn't planning to stay in Japan for
very long, but then I met my husband. Now I have lived in Japan for
over eight years, and there are so many things that I like about the country,
including the kind and mild-mannered people, the tasty food, the unique
culture, and the low crime rate.
My husband and I have a two year old son. Since having my son
I have been able to relive many of the joys of childhood.
He is my treasure. I like working for Liberty Lab because I truly enjoy
correcting essays and helping people improve their writing skills.
I have been really impressed with the quality of some of the essays I have
read - I certainly couldn't write such a good essay in Japanese! I
hope I can help you acheive your English goals. |
